President Biden: Anticipating Release of More Israeli Hostages by Hamas in the Coming Days

Washington, November 24, 2023: In an eagerly awaited press conference, US President Joe Biden expressed optimism over the release of more Israeli hostages by the Palestinian movement Hamas in the coming days. The notable progress made in recent negotiations has fueled expectations that dozens of hostages will be reunited with their families.

“As I said, today’s releases are the start of a process, we expect more hostages to be released tomorrow, more the day after, and more the day after that. Over the next few days, we expect that dozens of hostages will be returned to their families. We also remember all those who are still being held and renew our commitment to work for their release as well,” Biden stated confidently.

This development comes as a glimmer of hope in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which has seen numerous lives disrupted and communities torn apart. President Biden emphasized the urgency of finding a peaceful resolution, reiterating the need for a “two-state solution” to ensure lasting peace in the region.

When questioned about the possibility of extending the current humanitarian pause between Israel and Hamas, Biden responded with cautious optimism, stating that “the chances are real.” The temporary halt in hostilities has allowed for crucial negotiations and humanitarian aid to be delivered to those affected by the conflict.

The international community has been closely monitoring these recent developments, united in the belief that a peaceful settlement is essential. With the success of the hostage releases thus far, there is growing hope that further progress can be achieved through continued dialogue and diplomatic efforts.

The United States remains committed to playing a pivotal role in facilitating constructive discussions between the conflicting parties and fostering an environment conducive to peace. President Biden’s dedication to finding a comprehensive solution reflects the American government’s determination to bring an end to the cycle of violence and suffering experienced by Israelis and Palestinians alike.

The world waits with bated breath for the upcoming hostage releases, an event that symbolizes the potential for reconciliation between the two sides. As negotiations continue, the international community remains hopeful that this positive momentum can pave the way for a brighter and more peaceful future in the region.
